Watch Your Back

John Lett (Book Sessions)

I am getting a very strong sense that now is not really a time to engage too much with what is going on – from any side of it. Many people will feel like they are missing a necessary revolution if they sit out what is going on or that they are not performing a civic duty for bringing about justice, but I think you can do your part to enhance and extend equality in your daily life without joining a highly visible movement that can be infiltrated. In your daily dealings, always ask what is reasonable and fair and try to level the playing field for the disadvantaged while at the same time not destroying a system of merit, which could inadvertently discriminate against people who were born privileged but did not do any wrong.
